A cock egg! I threw it over the house, naturally.

A very small egg, supposedly laid by a rooster. (Or just a ‘glitch’ in a hen’s reproductive process, for a boring answer.) I’m told they usually don’t have a yolk, but I didn’t open it. You have to throw it over your house so it smashes on the other side, or else it might hatch out into a cockatrice!

Does the cockatrice not need to be incubated? I don’t know. What’s the harm in just eating it, it feeding it to your dog? Does the Devil get in you if you do? This is clearly His work, what with roosters laying eggs being so unnatural and all. Do you risk some witchcraft spontaneously occurring just from bringing it in the house?

Many things are unclear; best to just chuck it.

The bigger question here is why dont you want a pet cockatrice? That thing looks AWESOME! Like a chicken dragon that you can send on errands to smite your enemies, or at least sic it on your annoying neighbors hahaha
